I am an advisor and leadership coach, specializing in helping leaders, teams, and organizations navigate complex transformation, with a strong focus on the healthcare sector. I see my role as helping organizations build stronger leadership and create lasting change. As the CEO of the Physician Leadership Institute at CTI Leadership, I have dedicated my career to developing leaders who can inspire collaboration, innovation, and meaningful results. I was honored to be recognized as the number one Healthcare Leadership Coach by Marshall Goldsmith’s MG100 Global Coaches.
My work focuses on several key areas:
- Healthcare Leadership: I help hospitals and physicians move beyond traditional silos by building partnerships based on trust, collaboration, and a shared sense of purpose. My goal is to strengthen physician engagement so that healthcare organizations can achieve better outcomes together.
- Transformational Strategy: I work with organizations during times of uncertainty, growth, and cultural change. My leadership approach is built around five core disciplines: leading myself, leading people, leading with strategy, leading for results, and leading with purpose.

Throughout my career, I have worked with organizations facing challenges in culture, innovation, and leadership alignment. I help leaders think differently, strengthen relationships, and create environments where people are fully engaged and committed to a shared vision.
A defining moment in my journey came during a meeting with His Majesty the King of Bhutan during His Royal visit to the United States. I was deeply inspired by His Majesty’s vision for Bhutan and the country’s unique development philosophy. That experience led to a long-term commitment to support Bhutan’s leadership development and national progress.
Since then, I have traveled to Bhutan regularly to collaborate with government agencies and national leaders in developing leadership strategies and frameworks that reflect the country’s values and aspirations. At the same time, I have drawn on my international network to bring experienced executive leaders to Bhutan as volunteers, creating opportunities for cross cultural learning, mentorship, and the exchange of knowledge to strengthen local leadership capacity.

Pema holds a Bachelor’s degree from Sherubtse College, Bhutan, and a Master’s degree from Melbourne, Australia. His distinguished career spans the tourism, private, and public sectors, including leadership appointments with COMO Hotels and Resorts (Singapore) and TF Holding DIFC (Dubai). He also served as a Member of the National Council of Bhutan, where he chaired the Economic Affairs Committee, contributing to national policies on economic development, entrepreneurship, and private sector growth.
